Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled down 13.34 points, or 0.16%, to 8,219.71 points.
By 10:40 am KSA time, TASI saw trading of 31.72 million shares changed hands through 21,000 transactions, with a turnover of SAR 648.4 million.
The food and staples retailing sector fell 1.9%, followed by the energy and materials segments with 1.49%, and 0.87%, respectively.
On the flipside, the media, banks, and telecommunication services sectors increased 4.39%, 0.22%, and 0.03%, respectively.
Saudi United Cooperative Insurance’s (Walaa) stock retreated 7.75% to SAR 30.85, whereas the Saudi Research and Marketing Group’s stock rose 4.79% to SAR 125.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, inched down 0.46 points, or 0.01%, to 3,212.68 points.
Al-Kathiri Holding Company’s stock tumbled 8.17% to SAR 28.85, whereas Baazeem Trading’s stock edged up 0.11% to SAR 28.45.
